FAQ

Appointments & emergencies

I have a dental emergency. What should I do?

Call the office at (210) 824-3243. We make every effort to see patients with dental emergencies promptly. If it is after hours, call the same number and you will find information for reaching us.

How often should I come in for a cleaning?

Twice a year suits most healthy adults. If you have a history of gum disease, dry mouth from medication, diabetes, or a grinding habit, we may recommend three or four visits a year. We will explain what we recommend and why.

Do you see children and adults in the same practice?

Yes. We treat patients of all ages, from a child's first visit through complex restorative care for adults, which means families can be seen together in one place.

Can I have my implant placed and restored here?

Yes. Dr. Curtis D. Schmidt, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, places implants in our office, and Drs. Dirk, John, and Susie DeKoch restore them. Both halves of treatment are planned together under one roof.

Where are you located and where do I park?

We are at 110 Chichester Place, San Antonio, TX 78209, in the heart of Alamo Heights. Parking is available on site.

Still have a question?
